Honestly I think its because women in general have unrealistic expectations and social media and on line dating feeds into this... women get a lot of validation from men on social media and they let it go to their heads.
So guys tend to want to go after younger women because they are less experienced and maybe easier to influence.
Now this begins to turn around around about the age of 36 to 40, because if your still single by then you have to realize on some level your not as special as you thought you were or you would of been snatched up by now.
In Europe it pretty common for older men in the 30s to marry women 5 years younger than themselves. This because men spend their 20s at home having fun and preparing to provide a for women and settle down. So honestly a lot guys are not looking to settle down in their 20's and they want women who are perfectly okay with imposing expectations on them.
Maybe if you start considering mean that are , say 35 to 36 they may be more inline with what you are looking for in a guy.
Yeah I see what you mean. I want to cook fresh meals clean for him make him lunch. Read books walk in the park with the kids. Wedding. Yeah weird thing is that I enjoy having conversations with 40 year old guys and when I'm with a 30 year old I don't understand why they just feel in a rush to live so quickly.
Yeah, honestly it not age as much as you might be looking at the wrong types of men. But hearing what you have to say maybe a slightly more mature man would be a better option. There really in nothing wrong with it and I lived 12 years in Italy and was very common. Women just married younger to they married older men... I am not talking 10 to 20 years older less than 10 years older was very common. And when you think about it, it just seems to make a lot of sense. Second, I don't believe that the closer in age= the more you have in common, or even having things in common is a precursor towards a relationship. You can have things in common with anyone, it's simply who you're attracted to, and who you have chemistry with.
Lastly, have you seen women near their 30's? If a guy has the ability to date someone younger, he will. In nearly every case outside NY/LA (and ofc celebrities), most women over 28 are on the downward spiral as far as looks. Unless they keep up with fitness they start to have mom bods- or wine-drunk cat-aunt bods. They also look depleted. This isn't all women in late 20's, early 30's, as many who are happily married (and taken care of by strong providers) can be gorgeous, but single women in this age range are honestly busted 90% of the time- then you have a fresh wave of young 20's who are at their peak.. Who do you think the guy is going to shoot for?
Not all 30 y. old guys are like this. Most people where I live, tend to be married to people close to their own age or within 3-5 years younger, so I've never heard of what you describe before. Maybe it's just an American thing?
I noticed there are lots of questions about age on this site and a lot of guys claim that women over 22 aren't as good-looking as younger women etc Which just isn't true, because there are some women, who look younger than their age. And women can look good at any age, it has to do with their genetics, lifestyle and how well they take care of themselves.

Yeah I live in America , That is a mallenial guy thing I guess. Because once they see my id their all oh my your a grandma I am 29 and feel well like it's over for me because I am almost 30 and guys my age think I'm to ood for them. It's hard believe me. Not sure but itās wrong to generalize and reject a girl over her age if sheās in good shape, attractive ,& has a great personality. Iāve seen 20 year olds who look much much older than their age, have a bunch of wrinkles already, drinking, partying, drugs etc and Iāve seen women that are 27-28 and look super young for their age and healthy. I donāt get some guys being like that. Itās pretty messed up if you ask me.

u Many younger girls have lower expectations for guys and don't have standards to judge a guy on his job, home, car, etc. And many of them are not looking for permanent commitment.
because your probably not looking at "most" 30 yr old guys. Your probably only interested in the top 10% of desirable 30 yr old men. These men can get a 20 yr old and thus more attractive woman who has more fertility and more sexual energy/willingness and a longer runway of being "fuckable". 90% of women can't marry the top 10% of men their age, this math is flawed. There are nearly an unlimited number of men your age that are interesting in a 30 yr old woman, you just aren't interested in these kinds of men. You find them beneath you, due their looks/income/social awkwardness. There are a few other replies on here that basically say the same thing: Most women your age are overestimating your market value which is substantially less than it was 5 years ago and will go down greatly in another 5 years. To be honest, even at my age, getting married to a woman who is 30 would be a questionable decision, I'd probably hope to find a younger woman (which is unlikely I know) or just avoid marriage and try to be with a woman in a non marriage relationship. I know this reply was probably not what you wanted to hear, but at the same time there are lots of desirable men your age who haven't thought things through and you can probably "get" one if you don't have just outrageous standards.

No they are not. Similar aged men and women might be more likely to have things in common like careers and life experience and music/movies. None of that is important to men or most women. The only thing in common that is necessary is life stage. Men wanting and able to provide for kids and women wanting and able to have kids. See where this is going? Men are better off in 30s and women are more fertile in 20s. Men are logical, come to this conclusion and date younger.
2. Essentially the things men like and women like are different. Most things most men like are mostly better with most younger women. Fertility, beauty, sexual innocence, carefree, less debt, more flexible lifestyle... some of a long list of things very important to men. Compare the average 21 year old to the average 31 year old on these things and the 21 year old will almost always come out ahead.
Men will usually go for women somewhat younger than them if given the opportunity. This is a product of human biology more than anything. The American practice of marrying at a similar age was only practical in a thriving economy, with monogamy as a social norm, with affordable housing, and was encouraged especially by sending young adults to college to meet their mates. These conditions are no longer in place. Monogamy is only partially practiced especially by young adults. The job market is hard, especially for men. Housing is unaffordable. 60% of college students are women as men are discriminated against in admissions and finding more lucrative work in skilled trades. Thus we are reverting to the natural order of men seeking women younger than them to marry.
I did not tough of that. You did share very good useful information. Was it hard to get jobs at that time when you graduate college or highschool? I had friends in my work place they didn't needed degrees in order to become store managers now a days for a millennial it is required to have a degree. It's hard because most people my age don't have experience. I believe I was blessed because I've been working retail since I was in high school.

The reason we have so much credentialism now is that competency testing was made much more difficult due to lawsuits claiming such tests were racist. So actually this comes down to our options men are universally attracted to women between 18 to 22 years old we have actual stats on this 90 year old men, 50 year old men, and 20 year old men all want women in that age range but keep in mind those women want nothing to do with guys their own age they get to date older men who have cars, money, and status 20 year old men get ignored and told they aren't good enough while the women who reject them get railed until 30 now she's been with every guy but now is ready for the guys in her own age but now they're out of her league what make men attractive is wisdom, maturity, and strength that's only in older men but what makes women attractive is youth, virginity, and innocence so that's why older men and younger women date the only relationships that work when you are the same age is if you met young so I'd say date men older than you

I prefer women nearer to my age but I can also see why some guys go for the younger ones. Men don't need much, they just want to be around a woman that is fun to be around, feminine, without baggage or masculine energy. The woman in her 30's that was trying to seduce me was deceitful, full of baggage, had been around, and was manipulative. The younger one that was interested was easy to be around and had less baggage.

It depends on where the guy's at and what he wants.
Most women at that age will want marriage/kids soon. Maybe he's not ready for that and prefers to be with younger girls who have a similar mentality.
Most women at that age have certain expectations of a guy that age that maybe he hasn't reached yet that younger women won't have of him.
Most women have some sort of emotional baggage from previous relationships that younger women don't have yet.
Some women in their late 20s and older begin to show signs of aging that guys might not find attractive (i. e. crow's feet, weight gain, loss of their youthful glow)

My best guess is because they view a woman 5 to 7 years younger having more physical beauty left over a woman who is close to 30 in which about in 5 to 7 years will lose her physical beauty to a degree.

Life experience; I've seen it with my own eyes. I can only speak from my own personal perspective of course, but I'm a 29 year old guy and I know that the reason I'm not interested in dating women our age is because I'm sick of dealing with the trust issues and emotional baggage. If I have to fight an uphill battle to simply get my partner to understand that I care for and value her, there's only so much effort I'm willing to put in before it stops being worth it.
Don't forget that physically speaking, women are women; it's the emotional stuff that makes you unique. From an emotional standpoint, I can date younger women who simply don't require the same effort to build a relationship with.
But younger Woman don't want to give you a wonderful blessing having a child.
