Should I cut him off?

It’s only been a month since we’ve been talkin. He lives only an hr away & flaked already. We got passed it. We do talk every night & day.. Text & phone calls are pretty equal. But last night was weird he hasn’t texted or called since 7pm. I try not think about it but I don’t like the way it makes me feel & I know it’s my own insecurities but it was unusual & I don't know if want to hear him out before I cut him off because he has shown red flags before, but I do like him a lot. I just don’t want to like him more than he likes me. Would cutting him off be overreacting or “hey it happens!”
