Not at all. Being overweight means one is lazy or have an unhealthy schedule. Even I don't like overweight people. Weight actually tells a lot about ones personality. I fully support a guy not wanting to date someone due to weight.

P. S I'm not talking about being overweight due to medical issues.

You have to be attracted to the person to date them. That means all of them. However, I do find it shallow to judge only on looks and discredit personality from the equation.

Personally, I do think fitness and health is important. I like my partner to have similar values when it comes to that.

It depends on how overweight she is. If it's to the extreme that she's obese then it's definitely not shallow. That goes way beyond physical attraction. Obesity is a huge health risk.
