Guys, Can I Believe This Man in the Military?

Hey, guys!

So, recently I have met this really attractive man who is a military police officer in the armed forces. He seems kind and really straight forward. We just just started seeing one another a week ago. But, he has told me I check all his boxes for the right woman, that he would bring me home to mom, that he wants us to date, that he could see a future and starting a family with me and that he dates to marry, not to just date.

The problem is that I met him at my job and he lives an hour away, but he wants us to spend time together when he can. My friend seems to think when this contract ends, in won't see him or hear from him. But, he has told me more than once that's not the case.

So... can I believe him? As an MP, is he honest and trustworthy? Or, am I just someone passing through his life?

if you are afraid that you are being used, and having sex with someone is a big deal then its easy: you commented that his contract is up next week, if he is serious then not having sex this 1 week is not something he would be upset about.
i don't find sex that important so i wouldn't care to wait, but on the other hand i wouldn't find it bad if a woman just broke things off just after we had sex.

if it's not about the sex then there is not way knowing, there are good people and bad people everywhere. him being MP or military or anything else is not a fact to judge by. you know him best, what do you think? does your friend know him and say that not out of some kind of resentment? us people on the internet have no way of knowing those things.

I find it a red flag he told you all of this within one week of knowing you and you haven't even been on a date yet. Honestly sounds more like a guy trying to get his dick wet more than anything.

What do you mean by his contract is up next week? As in he is ETSing out of the military or that he will no longer be staying there?

I'm concerned that he's imaging that you are the perfect woman for him when you've only just met. That's a sign of immaturity. It's also a sign that he will be jealous and controlling. Take it slowly. Don't rush into anything. If he can't wait, let him go.

There are no guarantees in life. If he has said that he feels you are very compatible with him you should believe it unless you have a reason not to.
What will happen once the contract ends is something that neither of you can predict,
