Why does he smile when listening to me?

Was talking with this guy for almost an year online, met in person for the first time. During coversation he had a smile while listening to me. What does that mean?

But also, he didn't really keep an eye contact for long, was looking around but was totally involved in the conversation. We had some super deep conversation, and it went well, but he seemed to like rush at the end and left (date went for around 80 mins). He also seemed to mention a few other girls he's friends with in the convo, which I wonder if it means anything.

He is an introvert and he likes you. That's why he smiles. He mentioned the other girls because he wants to be transparent with you. It's a good thing.
