Guys, Tips for being a great date?

I am going on a date with a guy I really like in the next few weeks, do you have any advice or tips on what will get a guys attention and what a guy looks for?
I'm absolutely awful at dates.. I was in a long term relationship for so long I forgot what a date was even like 🙈🤣

Show good taste by wearing something flattering but isn't TOO provocative. Have clean hair and fix it attractively. Wear some light (invisible) makeup and softly tinted lip gloss. In other words, look like you put effort in.

Turn off your phone.

Be natural. Try to smile and look comfortable. Be happy and excited to be there with him.

Ask him questions about his day, his family, his job, movies, music, or whatever. Search for mutual interests. Keep the conversation going. Be interested when he speaks and just try to have a nice, fun, comfortable conversation. Laugh at his jokes.

Be yourself, turn you phone off, or silence it, don't drink too much or eat too little.
Wear something that gives a slight hint of what you have, but leaves him wanting more.
Try to relax, easier said than done, maybe it the date is going well touch his hand.
Lean in when he is talking, body language can tell a lot on how you feel.
Find some common ground and focus on that, it will give you a lot to talk about.
Remember, he may be just as nervous as you.
The first date may not go perfectly, don't worry about that.
Relax, be yourself and you will be fine.

Not really other than think of things you don't like/want and apply those very same things to him. Like awkward silence for example. Very common, you're both nervous etc. So do your best not to let that happen. Help keep the conversation going if he's struggling, etc. The main goal, for it to be as casual and relaxed for both of you as much as possible.

Please don't spend a bunch of time texting or taking photos for social media. Don't spend most of the time badmouthing your ex or still pining for them. It gets weird haha.
