Besides dating apps what are some good places to meet women? I rarely meet any women in real life so how do I change that?

It's not a dating app, it's a free site you can join, and then look for groups that you like.
Join as many groups as you want. Each group will post activities that they're putting on. If you like the activity, you sign up for it. And once in a group, you can PM/DM other members and become friends. My advice would be to join groups with large amounts of members. Don't join a basket weaving group with 8 people in it. Join the groups with hundreds of members. If you truly just want to go hiking, then go for it. But if you want to meet women, just join groups with parties, dinners and dancing. I've heard that the theme parties are outrageous, but you need to book in advance.
I joined a group that was setting up a dinner at a Mexican restaurant, and I signed up for it. A guy messaged me and welcomed me to the group. I told him I was really nervous about going. He offered to take me and keep me company at the large table. Hell yes! I had a date before the event ever got close to happening.

But outside of that, I'd only recommend weddings or churches.

A friend told me the funniest story. Him and his pal were in the bar at a hotel. They heard a lot of music going on upstairs, so they grabbed their drinks and went to investigate. It was a dance, and there were tons of girls and hardly any guys. The girls swarmed them like bees. The girls kept saying strange comments about their drinks. My friend said that him and his buddy was constantly being pulled to the dance floor. It took them about an hour to figure out that this was an AA meeting group.

Oh, well it did made me laugh but so far for me nothing like that has happened for me. I think I have to like 15 meetups over a year. I would like to do more just that I don't have a car yet so it makes it harder to go to these things

I think you should focus less on meeting girls, and more on honing your game. There are tons of pickup artist videos on YouTube. This guys talks about three techniques, but focus on the negs.

I think it is a little common not to meet anyone now a days especially in specific states. My state, guys are too afraid to approach women. Any girl that works somewhere that you find cute. Go there enough times to talk to her. If she laughs at your jokes, reciprocates the convo and asks you questions then I'll say she's interested

I was in grad school in my 30s. There were a few attractive females in my classes. I was married but one of them became my friend. I was a Computer Science major but if you majored in business or even better nursing you will meet plenty of women.
