Is 5'6" too short for women?

no. I'm 3/4" taller than you and had lots of opportunities and married now. I blew most of my opportunities, that was my issues and stupidity, so I was single long time. you will have to learn to impress them with other aspects of you.

caveat that people will use anything they can find as an excuse to justify their failure... both males and females, and some of it is true. they will "say no" for this, that or any reason. Get to the point where you can flip that no to a yes! your goal is to learn how to market and sell yourself so this isn't perceived as an issue and they see your benefits. Learn how to communicate, be interesting, fun. This is the main reason some people do consistently well and most don't. sales! don't be something you aren't, be the best you, true to yourself. You want to weed the bunch you have available down to the few that are really a good match.

lots of international women are short... especially Asians/filipino and they'd do anything to have American mate. Choose wisely.

It's good to ask. stop looking for excuses and justifications. look in the mirror... make that person better such that:
* you can approach a group of females, impress them in conversation and interest, and walk away happy
* ask one in some group out if you so choose, and it's fun and low stress.
* create an atmosphere where you feel like you have several options.
* You don't need them, they want you.
* You are being successful such that they want into your world.

How do you ask someone out in a group? Last time I approached a group they responded in disgust. I don't know how to impress a group of females. I want to be myself but I'm just some nerd.

that's a discussion and maybe we can talk sometime. Its hard as heck, to press yourself past your fears. You can watch videos of how others do it, do some preparation to have some interesting things to talk about and be witty, you can just do it starting small and building up. You could go out and do youtbue videos and ask questions. It took me forever but I got to where I'd go out by myself, to places I was totally not comfortable.. bars.. and talk to people at random... and not care about any results. That's freedom. That's how you get experience... just like walking, you take baby steps and build up. Accept that failure is part of this, rejection. Honestly, I found most women to be very reasonable and appreciative when you have something to offer them, even if it's just a joke. The key is being in the moment, not in your head. when you are in your head of fear... it's a mess. women pick up on that. practice. want to talk sometime, lmk.

I don't think I will go to a bar to meet someone tbh, a bar just seems like a place where I won't meet anyone u could connect with. Being rejected sucks, it's worse though to be dumped. I would probably have to talk to 100 women just to get a chance to go out with 1, and even lower if we can connect

I'm only saying as a practice being social. because it's uncomfortable. I don't drink and never did... only water. Ultimately, you want to learn to communicate and play with women and have fun. It's work getting there.
Yes it does and it is, but you understand why she did. if you don't you need to think harder about her perspective, how she felt, what she wanted, and learn. I'm not talking about going out with women, I'm talking about just having good conversations, being fun, entertaining, enlightening, enjoyable to be with.

Then you enjoy your own company until there is someone else to engage with. That's what I do. Your upgraded self will be plenty, once you do so. It's essential. Once you have a girlfriend, then the next challenges start... having a relationship.. a new set of challenges. there are people who are boring, short, etc.. who find mates. as well, there's no guarantees in life.

this reminds me now of an early life date... mid 20's, when got home she wanted to make out. I didn't even enjoy it and kinda bailed out. She was a good catch, I was not ripe and not ready for anything. I called her back for a 2nd date within a week and she said "she had a boyfriend"... lol.. excuse. I was ditched.
After that, I decided to enjoy life on my own with friends for some time. In hindsight, I should have gone to a therapist, and worked on myself, read books, socialized more. but what did I know... nothing really.
Time alone is time to work on yourself until you do meet someone, it's all life, so make the most of all of it. it's your life, we're all here to cheer you on.

Yes, 100%. ANYTHING under 6'0" is too short for women nowadays. If your height starts with a five (in Imperial) or less than 180 (Metric), you stand no shot in Hell without being an asshole or wealthy. Nobody wants to tell the truth though, so I'll use user @ThomasReynolds comment to explain it beautifully.

Well of COURSE it sucks! Blame women for being shallow and not wanting a man under six feet.
Or blame your parents for making you short.
Or blame yourself for not doing daily cardio, eating fresh vegetables everyday, and sleeping 10-12 hours every night before and during puberty to maximize your growth.
Or blame no one at all and move past women for their shallow, lame bullsh*t. I certainly got sick of them sh*tting on me for only being 180 cm and telling me I was an 'inferior man' because of it.

I know how that feels. I definitely had growth problems growing up. I was active. I guess it was just DNA. Tallest person in my family line is 5'10"

No I've known a lot of short guys who succeed with women. It perhaps reduces your dating pool a little but there are plenty out there.
