Is 5'1 too short for a woman?

Hey, i have a question.

Is 5'1 too short for a woman? Do men like short girls? And can a woman be too short for a man? What do you prefer as minimum height?

The average for women in the US is 5′4″, so it shorter than average but not by much, shortness is associated with both youth and femininity, women are naturally shorter than men, by 5 inches on average. Yes men like short girls, asking if a woman can be too short for a man is almost like asking if man can be too tall for a woman, it's almost impossible I think, I don't actually have a minimum height for a woman, I don't think about it, a woman can be too tall, but not too short. If the 3′10″ Shauna Rae can find man then you can too. :)

Hey, first of all I wanna thank you for your answer. I really appreciate you took the time for it. Your answer made me feel better and the picture is amazing, haha! And I know I have to accept my height but some days I feel so ugly and insecure about it that I cry in bed the whole day. I'm 31 and live in the Netherlands where people are sooo tall.. and because of that I think that men like tall woman and also because of the beauty industry with these beautiful tall runway models. 10 years ago someone I loved told me that i'm "too short" and that sentence is on repeat on my mind, I just can't forget about it. But your answer made me feel better. So you wouldn't be ashamed of me being so short if we would walk together outside?

Yea you need to accept your height, no need to feel ugly and insecure, it's no reason to cry. Yea I heard that scandinavia have tall beauty standards. No I would not be ashamed to walk together outside with you, and I would tell you that you too short, I am 5′11″ by the way, how tall was the man that you loved 10 years ago?

Thank you for your answer, you are so kind, thank you for that! So you are 5'11? To me that's really the perfect height for a man. Do you prefer tall or short girls? What was the height of your ex (es)? This man was 6'1 but I have to say he was very abusive and had a ugly heart. I don't think he would have said anything positive to me. And its not like I think about him, I already forgot him, its just this sentence that he told me about being too short is stuck in my head.

Actually I had one writing mistake, I meant to say that I would not tell you that you too short, I am not from the US, it says where I am from in my profile. I don't think that your grammatic is bad. Nice to hear that 5'11 is the perfect height for a man for you. I think that I prefer short girls, they make me feel more masculine. Yes that man sounds abusive, sorry that you needed to endure him. I don't think that you too short. :)

I think 5’4” is average in the west. So 5’1” is pretty short. I don’t know any men who value height the way women do. So there are no minimums or maximums, generally. Some short dudes who suffer insecurities might have a problem dating women who are taller. But that’s beside the point.
Short women don’t generally struggle to find potential mates.
Tall women and short men struggle. Tall men and short women, not so much.

The height of a man or a woman and who prefers it has to do with culture and individual tastes.

Some men like shorter women, others don't, some don't care one way or the other.

We're all the same height lying down, but some people want to be "seen" with women who look a certain way. This might extend to height.

But nothing can be done about your height, can it? So, don't worry. You're neither a giant nor a little person. I don't think this is much of an issue.

I don't think there really is "too short" for a woman, unless you're talking 3' or something lol, certainly not 5'1". It's a little below average but I'm sure most guys wouldn't mind at all.

Most of the women I've dated have been around your height.

I don't think you're too short, at all, no. I actually prefer women around your height, so I would consider it a bonus, if anything.

I don't really know thst I'd have a minimum height requirement, to be honest. I don't think anything is really too short.

Not to me. The shortest woman I've dated was 4'11" and I'm 6'5".

I've also been attracted to a woman that was as tall as 6'8".

I really could care less about a woman's height.

Some guys may have a height PREFERENCE. But honestly I think height is largely a woman's hang up. Most guys do not care much about a woman's height.
