How would you feel after plucking up the courage to ask her out for dinner... only to have her ask another guy join?

That's actually happened to me at least once. Not dinner, but a movie. I asked her out on a date. Just before going on the date, she asked if a mutual close friend could come along. I was hoping it'd just be the two of us for the first time but, he was also my best friend and I said it was okay. we went to the theatre together and I sat next to Jennifer intent on making her my girlfriend that evening and, not long into the movie (The Wall), she decided to move next to Marc so that he was between us! This left ME feeling left out on my own date!! They began to talk amongst themselves and not bothering to include me in their conversation so, after a few minutes, I got up and went to the bathroom and, when I came back, I sat in another row! I very seriously doubt if they even noticed that I was no longer there! About an hour later, the movie ended and I got up and walked out leaving them behind. Just as I was about to leave and go catch a bus home, they both came out looking for me! They found me walking away from the theatre and called to me and noticed I was pissed and we had a bit of a discussion there on the steps of the theatre! SHE got pissed and decided to run around the block to blow off her steam. We all went home; i suppose she spent the night with Marc because I went home alone!!

That happened to me one time dude, it turned out she wanted to go out with me but had a boyfriend I didn't know about so having him show up during dinner was her way of dealing with that. I went to the men's room at one point and took off and left them with the bill.
