I usually don’t use dating apps and I’m cringing for even using it. So it was originally to find male friends.. don’t ask why. But I met a person on there and I really really like him. Which is so odd.

First of all all the men on there bore me but he made me laugh non stop and was so witty. Then I continued to look at his pics and he has really good arms with amazing jawline and plays golf I don’t what it is but the way he holds that golf stick.

Cringe. But anyways I can never meet him yet because the pics I used was of like 2 years ago when I was suuuper attractive and I don’t look like that as much and he seems really shallow low-key. But he gave up on asking to meet which is sad.

Maybe you should forget about him and using the apps in general. Dating apps are not geared towards finding genuine male friends, but there are apps specifically for making friends and you’d have better luck. Also, the old picture thing will always jump up and bite you because no matter who you connect with, they’ll want to see you in current time, even if it’s when you meet in person. So if you aren’t feeling comfortable with your current looks then work on that first. If you feel this guy is shallow then you’re already setting yourself up to be insecure all the time, which sucks if you’re already hard on yourself for looks.

I definitely get you, I used dating apps a few years ago when I was trying to get over an ex and I had the same sort of feeling you do. I was on and off for like a year and a half and I can say now that not a single situation worked. Sure it was fun having so many options, because i felt like it gave me to opportunity to really pick a guy who lined up with my standards. But those dudes always end up being disappointments and so one track minded, so I’m glad you’re choosing to stop. My current and most healthiest relationship ever I am in right now and didn’t meet him online, surprisingly.

I definitely hope it is a sign☺️ and I actually met my boyfriend because I ran into a friend from high school that he was with, but at the time I wasn’t giving him any attention because I was text-arguing with a guy I met online and had been on and off with for like 7 months at that point. Then I ran into my friend with my now-bf again at the bar in our town, and this time my boyfriend was actively trying to talk to me instead of playing pool with our friend and asked for my number at the end of the night☺️.
