Anyone ever hit someone up on the spot to hang out?

I can never get anyone out on my boat it's always some excuse for whatever reason. So now I'm just thinking of being like hey I'm taking the boat out tomorrow at 9:30. You're welcome to come if you want. None of this leaving me hanging bs and not telling me something happened. The boat leaves the dock if they're on it or not. Opinions?

I'd try giving them advance notice. Say a week ahead maybe, and let them know you're keen for them to come. Then it gives them plenty of time to clear their schedule. If they still don't come perhaps they don't like boats, see if they do something else with you. But if they keep refusing to do things, I'd try find more reliable friends.

It seems the more notice I give the more they reschedule. I'm just not very high on people's list it seems

Yeah, my friend just called me up to hang and have wings together. I met his cat, we watched A Cabin in the Woods, it was great.

Make the offer, but enjoy yourself regardless. Friends of quality will want to join.

Or, maybe your friends don't want to go out on a boat that early, or can't swim.

But seriously, just talk it out. Friends should wanna hang with friends.

That is really odd that you can't rustle up party boaters... your plan may work. Or you could clean house and start finding new friends who aren't flakes.
