Why does my girlfriend keep asking these questions?

She keeps asking me these “would you still love me if ____” and some of those blanks endings are getting a lot darker. I know she isn’t illuding to these blank answers becoming a reality but when she asks these questions it really ticks me off. I want to think she just sucks at making conversation but maybe that’s just my opinion from a guy. Should I be getting annoyed at these questions?

Well, it is a fact that women always want to be assured that they are loved and cared for and especially from a man they need this more often.

Maybe your girlfriends just need that extra bit of assurance from you. Maybe you can hug her often and give her kisses (non-sexual) like kisses on cheeks, forehead etc and tell her you will always love her.

you can also turn the tables on her and start asking the same thing.

She’s looking for a little feedback from you to comfort her fears, however irrational they may or may not be. Maybe say little things to her to confirm those thoughts (in a positive light) before she asks them. It might sooth her to the point she stops making the comments.
