The question sounds strange, but what I actually wanted to say is: Do you know successful, happy women who are or were wallflowers and therefore never had an intimate relationship with a love partner?
Because I'm 20 and I already feel like I'm going to die a virgin and single. Men don't find me attractive anyway and those who do only want me because of my body. Apparently I'm not worthy of a relationship.
So I wanted to take a different path and instead focus on myself and other goals and exclude love or romantic relationships from my life forever.
How can I do that? Do you perhaps know role models that I can emulate?
Do you know women who died happily as virgin/single?
Um... I can't think of any. Every elderly single woman I've known has been profoundly lonely; especially the ones I met working in a nursing home. I think that's what happens to both genders as they get older. You start to realize that interpersonal relationships really are the most important part of life.
One of my great-aunts. She died from old age, and never experienced being with anyone romantically or sexually. She was very religious, could have been a nun. So she died without being regretful about lack of experience.
