How can you play a player at his own game?

That is a not a good idea at all because then you will have to stoop down to the level of the player and do cheap things which will only bring down your own image.

If your level is high, then maintain your reputation, your level. Just ignore the player.

I think my best advice is to do what he is doing, let him message first and even though you want to reply, let him wait for it. Sometimes when the texts get heated to a point where he sends you like a pic, don't open it till the next day. etc
