The statement, yes. The group, no. Black Lives Matter is typically misunderstood as Only Black Lives Matter, or Black Lives only Matter when taken by a white. All Lives Matter is built on that misconception. The people who use Black Lives Matter, and riot, loot, or use the name with prejudice against whites reinforce this idea. Think of All Lives Matter like this. You and I go on a hike, you break your leg. You need further assistance, and ask me to carry you to the hospital. I look at you and say “My leg matters too, you’re just being lazy. Walk” despite your leg being broken.
