Poll - how can I not feel empty in life?

Question

I’m 24 and feel empty in life. I have my studio apartment as my parents dont own a home and divorced. I have no sisters no cousins. It’s just me. My boyfriend doesn’t live with me as he lives with his mom and pays her rent takes care of her. Thier das moved to Mexico. The sister also lives with mom but her boyfriend lives with her too. I have bad luck and her boyfriend lives with her while my boyfriend is forever with mom. So I live alone. We haven’t met all month as he works full time and sometimes on Saturday too, and this time we couldn’t meet tomorrow Saturday or past wk as his family member is gravely ill. He visited me few days ago after work short time that’s it. Even tho my apartment is how I dream of, I have all the food I need, I’m empty. I eat watch show then bored empty and work at night. I’m not daily waiting for boyfriend to come home to me at night & cook for him with butterflies. I’m alone 24/7. Material things don’t make me happy. I have hobbies etc but I’m empty. No wonder people are fullfilled in life as they are beaming of joy day & night next to husband , busy with kids, planning parties, etc. i feel extremely empty 😔

As people we are social animals by nature. Unless you’re mentally trained/prepared it is often hard to stay being alone for long for most people.

You say you have your own studio apartment? You are luckier than most people in this instance. At least you have something to your name.

As for ways of trying to get rid of feeling empty, I really don’t know what to say other than it’s all up to you really.

There are however many ways you can use your alone-time to some advantage. Photography, writing, painting, art, sculpture, pottery, gardening, pets - these are the sorts of things that I know friends of mine would take up. The ultimate one of course is marriage and children.

If you live in an apartment, perhaps having a pet may be more suitable for you. Having a dog or a cat around would certainly help relieve some of your loneliness I think.

Well you need social life that's where emptiness is coming from, you seem to only focus on boyfriend for that wich is why it fails. Find friends in your hobbies, go lift weights together with friends and you will feel that social fullfilment wich you lack right now. Invite people to go hangout with you to play cards or bowling.
Go meet up with people on book clubs, once a month they meet up to dicuss chosen book that all of them had to read start with that just chatting with nee people can get rid of emptiness

Be grateful for what you have now and how far you’ve come along for your age. Nowadays there’s plenty of deadbeats your age that are still leaching from their parents without investing effort in bettering themselves. If you’re so unhappy with your boyfriend and how your relationship is playing out…it’s time for a new boyfriend. However, I suggest you work on learning how to live on your own and being at peace with your own presence first before you attempt to fill that void by being with other people.

Does your boyfriend ever plan to live with you?
How long have you been together?
If you have been together for a year or two and he doesn't want to live together when you are capable and can afford it then it seems like the relationship isn't going to progress anymore. What is he waiting for?

by the way, I personally think that short skinny girls are the best looking. I'm sure there are other guys that think the same so I doubt that is the real problem.

Write down everything that is wrong in your life. Sit down, still your mind, get down on your knees and open your heart, mind and soul and pray to God. Ask Him what to do next. Ask Him what your life purpose is. Ask Him how to proceed and tell Him that you surrender to Him completely. Then in time, the answer will come to you. Perhaps you've forgotten where you're from. Perhaps you've forgotten you are more than flesh... and there is a power within that is only of joy that is not being realized.

When me and my women were never on terms for over a year. Life was so fuxking terrible. That and the Canadian government was trying to kill me through their socialist health care system. Life isn’t easy and when it rains it bloody pours. You also can’t fix stupid.

no consider yourself lucky no drama no fighting no arguing you cook and eat what you like no bugging you if you are bored find new things to do, they don't have to cost much it's the 4th of July watch the fireworks there are far more people with less then you have and are very unhappy there is a world out there go find it and maybe find someone that is close to you to go do stuff with

You're feeling empty because you're allowing yourself to feel that way if you want a life you have to go out and get one if you don't like your life then you have to start taking steps to changing you seem like a real sweet person get out and get into life getting to things that you like to do and start having fun why sit around and do nothing

I feel the same and it totally sucks Nothing is giving me joy in life and being by myself is difficult sometimes. I do have great friends arround me but they dont fill the void

Lots of guys feel this way and we get told by both women and men to "be happy with ourselves" or nobody else will care. I agree most people don't understand loneliness and just push people down. Still, you shouldn't rely on others for your happiness.
