Not necessarily. As long as you have social skills, and you're able to hold a conversation in the first stages of getting to know someone. Sometimes, coaching can help a guy be confident to approach a woman which will instigate successfully meeting someone but you don't NEED it.
It's not so much girls seemingly wanting a guy who's at a 'professional' level. It's just men who are self-assured, know how to conduct themselves and be confident without being scared of rejection will be seen with higher value, as opposed to a guy who shy's away from an interaction
