How often does it happen that you are really impressed by someone?

Personally I find a lot of people objectively good looking, no matter if female or male, like I'm not blind lol and I do also find few people really sympathetic but it happens really rarely that I'm impressed by someone or like find a man romantically interesting enough to waste my time with him lol

I’m rarely impressed by people. Something that would impress me would be someone helping a homeless person when he truly thinks nobody is watching! Now, it is hilarious watching all the ways guys TRY to impress me, like with lunks, who always seem to think I’m impressed by how much they can “bench”, and the more nerdy guys always always think I’ll be impressed because they have “an app” that they’re working on, and they are just waiting for something to come through and they’ll be rich. Or not even on dates, just around campus… like the skateboarders who suddenly start doing stupid dangerous shit as soon as they see us coming. Or guys who suddenly pretend to have been talking about their stockbroker calling them, hell one guy flat out introduced himself by telling me his name, and that he had been offered a job at google! Right now, the most impressive guy I haven’t met yet is the one who just admits to being a broke, indebt, clueless college student, who is terrified of what the future holds, but also really excited to learn about what comes next!

Not really but I think this is a bad attitude - there are many people who did and do amazing things on this planet and not many people recognize it or give them credit for it, and that include people around you not just celebrities or politicians. people are often more focus on the negative and/or sleep walk through life without paying attention to the small or big exploits that people make around them make… you can also be impressed by things people have achieved in the past, all the positives in this society that were built by people before us, the list is endless

Well honestly its very rare for me to meet or even see some on the street that I am impressed with. I mean you see good looking people all the time and you acknowledge it in your own head... but I would not say I am impressed by it.

A lots of women I have gone out with were unimpressive, to the point I can't even remember what was so unimpressive about them.

But ever so often you find someone that sneaks up on you and it takes you by surprise, I guess that's why its so hard to find someone special. But you know it when you do. All I can say when you're ready to find someone your heart will open, and you start seeing people as opportunities. These days its more about not being put off than being impressed... because by an larger people are not impressive.

It’s not unusual for me to detect a single impressive characteristic of a person. It’s very unheard of for me to be wholly impressed by any one person though. People don’t develop themselves anymore the way they once did, and contrary to popular opinion, we’re not all born miraculously gifted. Ell oh ell! Rare people are rarely born. They’re far more often made, and still not very often. We’re lazy and unbelievably content with mediocrity while still somehow demanding to be recognized as special and amazing! What a strange society we’ve created.

I am rarely impressed by others - because I did not stay friends with those in my contacts that were considered elite - I know a few that did great things but they seemed to delight in my lack of comparison so I’m not impressed by them

Guys always try and impress me, usually by how many push ups they can do and it’s funny. Little do they know I’ve been raised around athletes and by athletes. I’ve seen my mum do hundreds of push-ups in a row a million times, if anything it bores me cause I have to sit around and watch it all day already.

Good looking? I don’t care.
Smart? Whatever.
Wealthy? So what.
You can do 15 pushups? I’ve seen better.
But you got a kind heart and are a great person? I like that!

To be honest it is pretty rare. But I don't need to be impressed for me to like, love, respect, etc. someone. Most of the time when I am impressed it is when someone isn't trying.

Doing outrageous things for attention most of the time annoys more people then not. Many times people learn that something gets them attention once and then keep doing it over and over again.

Just be you. People will either love love love you or hate hate hate you if you are your true self

I'm not too strict on what impresses me, but... I'm more often than not disappointed or just normal levels of "oh that's a cool thing".

It's rare someone genuinely impresses me. They have to have a level of mastery over their life that is... Uncommon, I'm coming to learn.

Yeah, I’m with you. I’ve not met a girl I’m impressed with to say the least. It’s more I give them a chance to prove themselves to me. Not saying that to sound conceited or above any woman. But I have found that most females aren’t worth my time or effort either. Doesn’t mean I won’t be friends with some, it’s just more important things to do with my life than chase a female
