Does jealously usually indicate interest in someone?

this girl seemed offly jealous that i was talking to this other girl when they were both at the same restaurant yesterday. they both sort of know each other through work and i know both of them somewhat

but does this indicate interest in me? i've never really dated either of them but would be willing to consider it

It can be one shitty indicator of interest, the red flag-ish type. Nothing's stopping her from making known her interest in you, but that's the way she chose to act.

we have talked before at that same place , it just seemed like something about the idea of me and that other girl being together was too much for her to take
