Do you think it's strange for someone to have a super high social media presence and never post with their partner?

Question

Two people have been dating for basically a decade. They both have a high social media presence, the girl posting stories daily. Neither of them post photos together, even if they were at the same place they will only post themselves or with friends. On the girls page out of 650 photos there's is maybe 10 photos of/with him the last one she posted being from 2014. Out of his 400 or so photos there is 0 pictures with her but plenty with other girls/ex's.

Frankly I have a hard time using social media in a personal lens. It makes more sense to me - and less anxiety - thinking of it just as a promotional tool for businesses.

There's been a lot of social media creators who've spoken out in recent years about the importance of keeping themselves personally out of their content. They have an on camera personality that can sometimes be quite different from their real in life personality. Or an exaggeration of it.

It's healthy, in my opinion, for influencers to keep a measure of separation between their social media business (that is what it is) and their personal lives.

Yes it’s weird. It shows that their ego is driven by the opposite sex and they feel like they will lose all their “clout” if they post someone that should be important. It also makes it look like that they want to keep the attractive women/men hooked onto them for possible future cheating. Any person that is Like this in my opinion, it’s a huge indicator that they are cheater/player and don’t actually want a committed relationship. Super big red flag

I think it makes sense from the business point of view...

the people that follow you want to see you, not you with someone else... as simple as that, lol

many followers might be infatuated with the people they follow... and can get very weird about the partners of someone they idolize, so all in all, best to avoid most of that

and then some people just want to keep their private life apart from the question, the judging and the constant inquiring about that aspect of their life so they will just keep strictly to their business or online presence as individuals

so, to me it is not strange it makes all sense

A lot comes down to if it’s business orientated or not.

if it’s not business orientated and it’s just a personal one, then it’s strange, especially if both are posting a fair bit.

From a commercial social media point of view, it’s about selling a product and about getting people to buy in to that product.

A lot of people buying in to these products are buying into them being exclusive to them, the distraction of someone else owning the product can reduce sales.

If they are not seen together and don’t post each other but both have successful social media profiles, then there is some product management going on behind the scenes.

Fastest way to end a relationship is sharing it on social media. Keep that shit separate because more than likely they are influncers as well making money from their accounts so they are keeping it all business.

I mean I can say for an absolute certainty that i'd want basically nothing to do with someone else's social media presence. A major reason I don't use it much anymore is because I keep getting tagged in other people's photos. In fact a woman being heavily invested in social media is pretty much a turnoff at this point.

many of them don't want to intertwine the relationship with the influencer "job" because it adds distraction. You also get those weird simps that stop subbing when someone gets too jealous of their partner.

maybe a little strange. but there could be a decent explanation for it so i wouldn't assume... like maybe their partner doesn't like having their pictures taken. I'd hear an explanation first before i really make my mind up
