At 5'6", do I even stand a chance?

Let's be brutally honest, women prefer taller men. That's just the truth.

I am 5'6". Women hardly notice me. If only I was 6 inches taller I would be in a much better spot.

Also to point out, I have NEVER had a real girlfriend.

Even short, petite women want a taller guy.

At almost 28, I am not growing any taller. I was rejected because of my height to a girl who went into marry someone else. My only option is invasive height increasing surgery.

Dude, I comprehend totally you. I’m 5’7 and I look at the others from below. The perception of my height is one of my weak points, generally I’m ignored while other taller friends get more attention.
I learnt to deal with that by resignation, no one can change your height (I don’t recommend you to do surgical interventions, it doesn’t solve your problem and it will be very invasive) and no one will come to you saying “in my opinion you’re the taller man in the world”.

I can only suggest you to fight to find your space in the world and to keep you faith, there are good persons who don’t watch trivial things like height. Be confident, use your other skills (empathy, irony, knowledge..) to make your shortness not your weak point anymore! Sarcasm and irony about your weak points can be a good way to deal with them and can be a way to attract more. It’s more enjoyable a person who doesn’t take itself too seriously than a person who complains about inferiority complexes and prefers to hide.

Well I am 5'8 and I have dated women as tall as 5'9 and short as 5'2. I honestly prefer women you are no less than 2 inches shorter than me or 1 inch taller. So at 5'8 I find plenty of women that are 5'6 and more than interested.

So if you are 5'6 then I can't see why someone who is 5'4 or shorter wouldn't be interested... unless it is not about your height at all. Maybe its something else about you. So I do not agree that invasive height increasing surgery is you only option... that is stupid silly.

My current girlfriend is the same height as me at 5'8 and that's taller than average for a women. 5'6 is average height for women, so if your a charming and engaging person I don't see height for a guy being a primary issue unless you are like 5'2 to 5'4.

Of course some women just like tall men.

I wouldn't give uo hope. Your mind is your best asset, use that instead of your height to build yourself up. Look at your other attributes that women would like. There are plenty of us shorter girls who who wouldn't mind being with a shorter man (me, 5'4"). In short, pardon the pun, this is what most women like in a man:

Good hygiene, good sense of humor, a warm smile, nice disposition, good clothing sense, nice hair, kind and attentive, and most of all---confidence. So look to see if you have most of those--and work on the ones that you may not have. Good luck.

Bruh 5’6 isn’t even that bad. I think your insecurities just shows through too much, work on your posture (stand tall, no hunching), get a different hairstyle that gives the illusion of height, wear boots for an extra inch - most importantly, just act confident!

Fortunately for you, the average woman is only 5’4”. So you’re still taller, which i think is the most important thing. Women respond to strength and one superficial sign of strength is height and size. You could bulk up a little to compensate. Or, if taller than average isn’t objectionable, look for women who are 5’10” or taller. They have a similar issue. Most men prefer their ladies to be shorter than themselves, and the average dude is 5’10”. The most important thing is this, really: do not let your height be the only remarkable thing about you. Be smarter, funnier, stronger, more charming, more talented, be anything but ‘just’ short. Then relax, because the good ones will notice.

Of course you have a chance. Emphasize your strengths, your intelligence, your personality, fun things you like to do. And didn't be afraid to approach a woman you like. It may help to wear clothes that make you look taller, vertical striped or print shirts, for example, stay away from solid colors and horizontal stripes that make you look shorter and fatter.

I'd rather be single... but I'm 5'7 and women notice me, occasionally approach and I have quite a few showing interest. But I do not see my height as an issue, I wouldn't want to be taller. I've had a girlfriend before too. Therefore it's more likely that the perception of your height is the main issue.

Of course, you stand a chance! I'm only 5'7" and I've even had 3 out of 7 girlfriends who are taller than me. Meanwhile, the other 4 women are barely over 5 feet. Sure, I envy people taller than me but that doesn't make me look less of myself. Regardless of my height, I always have a confident demeanor. That's one of numerous reasons I easily attract women.
