Are women turned off by guys who look older than they are?

I'm only 21 and I keep getting asked if I'm married or have kids and my 60 something mom was recently mistaken for my wife so apparently I look 40 years older than I am. I feel like I'd creep out any girls within 4 years of my age if I approached them and they thought I was in my 50s or 60s :( I stay fit and don't know what else to do.

You cannot make a general statement about this kind of question.

While there are a number of people that would actually be discouraged to be dating a person that is or looks older than they are, I would say that most people are not bothered by that fact.

There is not much you can do about the way you look except to stay fit and take care of your overall appearance. You can also perhaps change your wardrobe and wear something different that would change your looks.

Remember that a vast number of people don't judge others just by their looks but by assets much more important than looks alone.

There are plenty of men that look very dignified and much better when they were older like Sean Connery.

Your appearance is in great part due to your genes. A lot of people prefer partners that are (or look) older. What is important is not so much your looks but more your personality and character.

Sean Connery started going bald fairly young. I like his voice but don't really consider him attractive.

I guess it may be the way you dress as appearances may be misleading, thus may make you look older.
