Why do girls join dating apps only "for friends" and then complain when men talk to them looking to date?

It happened to me once, we went out on dates and she clarified the fact only after some time… she said she joined the dating app on the section “date” (and not “friend”) because she wanted male friends and all males are on the dating section. So here explained the inconvenient.

Yes, but the overwhelming majority of men on there are looking to date, and most men, to be honest, don't talk to women just "as friends." You'd think women would know this by now. Men usually don't seek out female friends, especially on dating apps.

yes true, just make sure you dont contact women who have it set as friends and then complain about them wanting friends. most apps can only filter with payment though so that sucks
