What causes a guy to text a girl early in the morning at 6.30am wishing her good morning and have a good day? He wants her attention or he's bored?

Well he probably woke up at like 6:00 or earlier, so I think it's initially just him being up that early so he texts that early. The other thing is it's kind of weird to text good morning or have a good day to somebody if you're not actively dating them, so he might be simping for you

Yea we are not dating, although we have been on 3 dates but that was like 6 months ago. We no longer meet each other now, but we still text daily but we both didn't say we are dating or anything, and this morning he texted me good morning and have a good weekend, and even ask whether i am working today...

Simping is when you obsess over someone who does not return your affection. Like how " nice guys " act, they think that if they continue to obsess and be very polite and affectionate toward someone that that will earn affection in return. It sounds like you guys had a couple of dates, and you don't want to date but you kept talking and he holds a little candle for you. He has some romantic interest in you, or at the very least he wants to sleep with you. What you want to do is up to you, you could see if he wants to go on another date see if any chemistry showed up now that you guys know each other better, or you could just understand that all right this guy has a crush on you and maintain the only friends relationship, or if he gets weird cut him off

If you guys don't meet up or hang out, then you're definitely not dating. If you talk to a relatively often then yeah you're at least friends, there is the question of whether or not you do anything intimate when you text, like sending nude photos or sexting which would mean that you guys are more like friends with benefits but not physical. I don't think I'd ask him what we are question, because that might also give the wrong. . . I forget the word but like a false appearance of interest? Like if you ask him what you are to him or what you guys are as a relationship he might think that means that you think it is or could be more than just friends

Well let's run down the checklist, you don't hang out and you don't meet up, so unless you guys live really far apart it's not a long distance relationship, if you also don't have any sort of intimacy in your texting that rules out friends with benefits, but you do talk relatively often over texting so you're friends. Would you want to have something more with him?

We have both confessed our feelings to each other, that we both have feelings for each other but nothing is happening between us.

There could be several different reasons why he texted at that time. Time zone, work schedule, school time, could have just finished exercising, earlier riser, etc.
OR
Maybe he is in love with you and/or you are the first person he thinks about after he wakes up.
