I’ve been out of the dating scene for a while. Just got out of an 8 year relationship actually. I’m 24, so I’d been with her since high school. She had a very peculiar way of kissing compared to the girls I’d hooked up with prior to her. She would just barely open her mouth so her tongue would like graze mine I guess. Even when extremely…. motivated…. that’s how she kissed. I got used to it because it wasn’t a huge deal, but now I’m worried I’ve been conditioned to suck at kissing lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You’re overthinking it kissing isn’t a fixed skill you “lose,” it’s something you adapt to each person. Start simple: keep it relaxed, soft, and follow her pace at first (match pressure, speed, and how much she opens up), then gradually add a bit more variation if she responds well.
