If a man is just using a woman for sex, would he date her for 2 years, introduce her to his parents, friends etc & spend lots of time around hers?

Creating some substance to a sexual relationship is not uncommon, but it doesn’t always mean he’s interested in commitment. This is why communication is important, so you can know exactly where you two stand. If you haven’t asked him what he wants from you yet, then make it a point to do so soon. But I’d you have and he claims to only want sex, then you’re doing yourself a disservice by making his actions mean more than they do. Not every person feels hesitation to bring someone of the opposite sex around their friends and family. Labels have as much value as your resolve about relationships does, so if you’re fine with platonic sex and keeping each other company, and your family doesn’t make a fuss about it, then I can’t see why he wouldn’t bring you.

It’s unlikely. That will just create more drama and hassle if this goes south and it’ll be more to deal with and untangle. So, it’s likely that it isn’t JUST sex he wants. I get the impression that people in the casual sex scene want as little drama and inconvenience as possible.

He’s still dealing with a divorce I think - it’s hits him here and there on the odd occasion, and also not sure if he wants to stay in this country with the current economy etc. That’s what he says anyway. He said if he was fit to be in a relationship it’d have been with me. But who really knows.

What you describe sounds more like a real relationship. Using someone just for sex implies he doesn't want to spend a lot of time with her in situations that don't lead to sex. Like introducing to parents.

Honestly maybe, men will do a lot for sex. The question is, does he treat her well? Does he care about her and try to move her in a good direction in life, or is he gunna use all her good years and leave her heartbroken?
