At what stage of a relationship does it become normal to almost always say hello and goodbye to each other with a kiss?

My boyfriend was super closed off and awkward with physical affection (even tho he craves it, as he told me) so I had to initiate. I started out by always greeting him with a hug + a hug good bye. After a month or two I initiated a good bye kiss each time. Still working up to a kiss hello tho, but now he can‘t live without a good bye hug and kiss - progress!

I've never met anyone in a long term relationship that does this... It seems unnecessary. If it's important to you, then you can start whenever you feel like it and both agree.

Early on for me. I only went after men I felt a connection with from the start. Some couples are close like that easily, others take time. Just depends on the two who match.

Well I don’t date around much I really only will go on dates with a guy I have a really strong connection to and after our second date I started kissing him goodbye when he would drop me off after the date. Keep in mind we had hung out in a group of friends casually before we started dating. With my ex it was the same early on we were kissing eachother goodbye but I would say after around three months if us dating when he said he loved me we started to kiss eachother hello and goodbye
