When do you ask for a kiss goodnight?

I've been talking to this young lady for some months now. We hang out at the end of the night, and we hug each other tight. I wanna kiss her good night. Do I just go in for the kiss or ask her, "Can I get a kiss goodnight?"

Who is this woman to you? Someone you’re trying to date? Do you know that she’s mutually interested and on the same page? I find it interesting that you’ve been talking to this woman for “some months” and haven’t had so much as a kiss yet. Even for you to use the word talking instead of dating makes the connection sound like two friends hanging out.

I would ask her to see what she says. My current boyfriend asked me if he could kiss me one day and I am so glad he did because I was not ready. I was barely getting to know him and my feelings were slowly growing. I am glad he was able to move on from that, I know he felt a little rejected but I was completely honest and I am also glad I waited because it felt more genuine later on from my side. Now we have been together for a year and a half
