so im wondering girls what places do you think are the best for guys to approach you? If you are taken just answer this as if you were single. could be a bar, a club, maybe at the mall or at a concert.

If you are gorgeous, anywhere you want (except the gym, that’s just gross) if you are unattractive, then nowhere! Seriously, I think there is a massive problem with guys who have no self awareness and think they stand a chance with women who are WAAAAY out of their league. If you are a 3 or 4, why on earth would you start coming onto an 8? If you are well over 30 or even over 40 why would you come onto an 18 or 19 year old? Seriously it’s gross. Unless she’s a gold digger, or seriously emotionally unstable, no 18, 19, or 20 year old wants anything to do with guys who are pushing 30, let alone 40. (And all of this was told to me by a guy, by the way) but it’s so true, there seems to be an epidemic of people with no ability to look in the mirror and say “nope! That’s completely unrealistic, I need to reevaluate my dating strategy, and find someone on MY level who will love and appreciate me for who I am”. Did you know that 30% of of 30yo men in the west are either virgins, or haven’t had sex in the past year? But they continue to go after the top 20% of good looking women! It’s delusional! And we women are no better. Most women demand a man over 6ft, but in the U. S only 14% of men are 6ft tall or over… That’s just delusional! Even if 20% of men were over 6ft, they are going to go out with the top 20% of women, the 8’s, 9’s, and the 10’s! So if you are a 7 or below.. re-adjust your expectations! Oh, and ladies, guys don’t want to marry a woman who’s slept w/ 25 other men before him. Most guys don’t want a woman w/ a body count over 10! So think about that before you “hook-up” with some stranger on Friday! Seriously, it’s called a dildo, look it up and buy one! You would be amazed what a good masturbation session does for your need to hook-up! Because while women control sex, MEN control relationships, and since women want relationships, maybe your grandma’s idea of putting an aspirin between your knees, wasn’t so bad after all! Usually at group events (party, beach, study group) or the gym, but I've never really approached a stranger. I always knew them as friends or acquaintances before I asked them out. The only time I got a stranger's number was actually my spouse, and that time she initiated it lol.

I guess in that case, if you see someone looking like they could use a hand go see what's going on and if you can help. Usually a conversation will start. Won't necessarily lead to a date, but you can make a new acquaintance from it.

Its not about where it's about who. If your not super attractive women will never be ok with you approaching them, dosen't matter when or where. You will always be that creepy guy unless your rocking a 6 pack and massive biceps.

I'm happy just getting approached so I'm not super picky. I can't speak for other women since I'm only blessed enough to get hit on once every 5-10 years 😂

Joking aside, I'm simple. If a guy approaches me in places I like going to, such as: the park, anime or video game cons/meets... I'm elated because we have something in common.
The gym is actually fine with me- IF I'm not busy with a set, or wearing headphones. Better still, just come run or walk with me if I'm doing cardio- just don't slow me down.

Not at the grocery store! Believe it or not, I'm actually grumpy when I'm spending money on food (because prices 😐). And absolutely not at my job! I work at a hospital so it's not exactly professional to flirt with patients or on the job

Not every approach was because a guy wanted to date, so I never thought much of it. But for one reason or another, I got approached often because I’m approachable. That’s usually a good thing.

thats great. maybe its a midwest thing where women are more approachable there but in the big cities women are almost always immediately on guard when a guy approaches.. i mean there is good reason. many guys are downright inappropriate af when they approach... but it does make genuine guys who want something real have to work much harder at getting over those guards a lot of women have up. and so many women will say they hate being approached when they are out anywhere and want to be left alone... hence this question.. where is it appropriate to approach you?

For perspective, since I'm in the funeral business there are a lot of people in the community who know who (and what) I am, even if I don't know who they are. People can comfortably approach me at the end of a visitation, or in those cases when I stay at the gravesite after everyone has left to oversee the grave closing and marking, someone may stay behind and approach me and start a conversation. Also, if I'm sitting in a restaurant by myself and someone comes by and talks to me, I'm certainly open to it and may even ask if the guy wants to join me. That doesn't mean I end up dating them, although sometimes that happened. We had a British exchange visitor for two weeks (she just left yesterday), and that people wave to each, just start conversations with each other in (to her) the strangest of places without never having met was something that boggled her mind. It also happens when my husband and I are out and about; he just figures "Oh it's Saoirse making a new friend."
