Born in the US living in the US. The guy I am talking to came here 14 years ago. I am in my late 30's and he is 40. Both career professionals.

My experience. Islam has a cultural indoctrination. My SE Asia experiences have found the Family structure and expectation of parents etc... to be very similar. The married couple are under oversight for quite some time and also in the parent home plus addition. If he is a cultural Muslim this will clash with Secularism, Christianity and/or Hindu.
