Guys would you like if a girl pays for flights?

It is going to be my birthday next month and also the guy I am seeing for more than year. I want to go to my home country for a week and I found some cheap flights. I was thinking of buying them and surprise him do you think he would like the surprise? Or think that I should not do it? I am puzzled. He has introduced me to his family and friends but we are not like oficial. Maybe I should just buy for myself!

Well I have done that for a girl so why not a girl doing that for a guy?

Do ask him if he would like to come first. There could be a reason he cannot no matter how much he might want to. It could be intimidating spending a week with your family without knowing them. He'd be a third wheel with questions about when will he propose etc etc.

So make sure he wants to first before lashing out the cash or at least ensure the tickets are refundable or transferable. Often cheap tickets aren't.

Thanks I am not planning to spend the whole week with my family. But yeah this is a hard decision to make.

Yeah it is. Very nice to give a surprise overseas trip but it might not be practicable. If he does project work and there are looming deadlines you don't know about he might have to decline. I think you can make it a surprise offer.

With some inlaws Christmas day was too much of their company for me. The brother suggested we higher a car so we could get around. But getting around consisted of us driving to visit his friends. That was a long week.

Make sure you have plenty f you and him time scheduled.

Personally I would ask him about it before actually buying the tickets. Even if he wanted to, there could be a schedule issue or something without him knowing the plan in advanced.
