Is this weird or normal?

I don’t have much dating experiences. But I’m just wondering if it’s normal or not for a guy to plan a date but not text you? Meaning he asked me out and he set the day. But he just doesn’t have conversations with me on a normal basis. He says he’s attracted to me. He nice and didn’t pressure me into anything sexual.(we went on a few dates before)
