To share food is a sign of love and hospitality. It is a personality trait. He is not as selfish as most. See if he is sharing in other activities WITHOUT you directing everything. Like getting things together for hiking the mountains of NC. It is a good sign !!

Can you describe the situation a little more? It is common when you are on a date or in a relationship OR when you are family members to share like that. If you are not related I would consider it flirty.
