I dont really know what you mean by undatable but there was a guy I had a big crush on but would never date because of his questionable “morals”. It would never work. Also he was an idiot. You can tell how someone would be in a relationship based on how they are in general. Not the kind of guy Id want to be with basically. But he was cute and the only guy to ever give me a little bit of attention.

Absolutely. There was this one guy. He was so fine but when he spoke I could see he was no good. He wanted to be my forever side piece. He said even if I got married he'd be right there. I gave me a bunch of red flags to the point where I cut him out of my life.

I'm not sure I accept the premise of the question. If you mean undatable because they were in a relationship, that's one thing. But for some other reason, no. The whole reason that they're a crush is that I want to date them.

Yes absolutely. I've experienced abuse in the past and it was very impactful on my perspective on relationships so I wanted to avoid abusive relationships going forward. I have read books on the topic of domestic/dating violence and if I see red flags when I'm starting to like someone, I consider them undateable.

Then it sounds like you have enough sense to be able to identify red flags and keep your distance. It’s okay to love others but you have to love yourself first, with a healthy protective love. Otherwise you’ll just waste yourself and allow others to use you up.
They’ve got to get healthy first.
Let them know that you’re there for them (at a safe place for you though) but keep enough distance to protect yourself from the drama that stems from their emotional instability.
Maybe, when they finally get the help they need you can still be available but there are no promises.
Ur in a tough spot for your heart but ur smart enough for your head to keep yourself out of trouble.
