Some guys prefer shorter girls, some others prefer taller, but that is never a justification for cheating, at all.
Cheating means that your partner is not capable of minimum responsibility and doesn't have any sense of respect of the others vs the perception of himself. If a man is more attracted to another woman, and he really really thinks this is enough to give up a well established relationship to pursue contacts a new, unknown woman, just because she is attractive, then he should first check if this impulse is coming because of something not working in the relationship with you (and trying to sort it out, fix it, etc), or, if things just really don't work, he should first break up with you, then starting to flirt with the type of women he actually wants. Flirting with another woman and having sex while being in a relationship just underlines how this man has 0 responsibility for handling his impulses at all and doesn't feel any sort of value in the others.
He dared to justify cheating with such a shallow reason, as if you can agree with? The only fact he dared to come up with such an explanation says it all in my opinion.

Do not start to think men will cheat on you any time they see a shorter woman. Cheating is never directly related to how you "are", it is always related to how the cheater is.

guys prefer whoever attracts them most personally. height is only one aspect, and it’s completely relative. some guys are bent on wanting a girl who is shorter than they are, but other guys prefer girls who are more “leggy” i. e. longer legs and a bit taller.
