My sister had a Cinderella complex and a very low opinion of herself after her boyfriend if about 4 years dumped her.
She dated two guys who were not really good people. They treated her like the best thing that ever happened to them, because she was. This eventually fixed her complex an restored her self-esteem (therapy also helped). Now she's dating a much better guy.
Have you ever dated someone who helped you get out of your own issues, but wasn't a good match for you?

Yes, but I should clarify it's a business arrangement, my wife knows about it and me taking out this woman to wine and dine it's a way to do business with her, expand my network and get good deals with nothing romantic going on.
So technically, I'm dating someone I "need" to date but she's not a soulmate at all. That said, I do consider her a serious professional and a trusted person.
Wining and dining with clients or business associates isn't really a date unless it's romantic in some aspect.
nope... that would have a bit dangerous for me to do
