If he struck you, then why feel ashamed that you pressed charges?
*Granted there are times and places in which I would consider putting hands on a women are called for. She has included herself into a physical altercation in which she was not involved with before hand, if she is proving to be a serious threat to your, or anothers well being. Situational from there out. Brandishing a weapon, bringing harm unto others, on drugs and lost it*
Why would it matter if the police think something? They are there to be impartial, if something happened that resulted in them being called for then that is what they are there for. Not adding their personal views to a situation.
You stood up for yourself, sounds like they didn't like it. Nor could properly handle the fact that someone stood up to them. Doesn't give them the right to strike you.
I have seen a guy get an ashtray *about 5lbs* thrown at his head, hitting him in the torso, then she flew at him slapping at him. All he did was grasp her shoulders, place her on the couch and then walk out. Personally I have been hit multiple times in the face by a lady that was drunk. Just made sure there was a seat behind her as I pushed her off. Then walked out. There is always a better way to handle a situation, until there isn't. Its up to the participants to decide on what those options are.
No, he embarrassed himself and its time for you to move and get away from him.
Who did you fart in front of, now?
