So I got into an argument with the guy I was dating and I told him I didn’t want to be with him anymore out of anger. I called him the next day and apologized and told him I didn’t mean it. Two days later was his birthday and I wished him happy birthday and gave him his present he had. Now it’s my birthday and he didn’t tell me happy birthday. He seemed a bit cold towards me the day I went to drop off his present but still kissed and hugged me. What do I do?

I think maybe he's a bit hurt, disappointed, and he feels disrespected. It may be a situation where you just need to pull back completely and allow him time to think things out. If things are meant to be, he will come back to you. But please don't lash out on him, although he doesn't say anything, I'm sure it hurts him.

Here’s the thing. I found a bracelet that wasn’t mines at his house. He never really took me out on dates. I got fed up of always doing things for him and him never doing anything for me. Hmm, okay so there was an actual incident that occurred. Well, have you ever had any suspicions that he may be talking to someone else? I think it's very strange that he's never taken you out on a date and you guys were in a relationship. It sounds like there's some things that you may need clarification about, I would talk to him about my expectations and see where it goes from there. Also, you can ask him where the bracelet came from, but you have to be open and not get upset if there's a possibility that he had someone over. It was actually a broken bead from someone’s bracelet sorry, didn’t realize I didn’t type that at first. We were only dating. I told him I wanted to be sexually exclusive with him and he agreed. I also told him if he wants to talk to other people I won’t stop him as long as me and him are sexually exclusive

Ah okay, so that is making more sense. Well, if I'm understanding correctly you guys aren't dating exclusively, which means you're both free to see other people. However, you made a mutual agreement to only be physically active with each other? So, in that case him becoming upset makes sense. He probably didn't like it that you mentioned the bead because there's no committed relationship. So, he more than likely felt as if you were overstepping your boundaries. He may have gotten offended and confused because you're not in a exclusive relationship. So usually that equates to fun only and no drama. Does that make sense?

So you have a history of doing it. And who knows, maybe he had an another girlfriend who also did that, and he’s just sick of the emotional abuse. As for the bracelet… guys are known for half-assed cleaning, who knows how long thats been there? Never attribute to malice that which can better be explained by incompetence. Attitude problem? I literally tried to provide a way of explaining how a bracelet might have gotten there. I also tried to explain why he may be acting like that. And you just brushed it off with a terse “He cleans every week” well have you ever thought that maybe bracelet was what he got you for your birthday? When someone asked one of these “My boyfriend… What should I do?” They 99% have already decided what they want to do, they just want confirmation. So I figured you wanted to end it, and if you do well then just end it! That’s ALL you can do unless you are willing to sit like an adult with your boyfriend and talk about what bothering you, and see if you two can work it out. Otherwise, just leave him. Those are your choices, but suspect you have already decided to do. We don’t know you, we don’t know your boyfriend, we’re strangers, what possible insight do you think we can give regarding your relationship?
