Never used dating apps but I did use Penpal sites with relationship options. Most are good.

I don't want to sound shallow but may be you can share your profile with mail-order brides site like Elena's.

I think they are UK based and have lots of successful love stories with marriage.

The best part, you can back out of the dating if you don't find the guy attractive.

And it's not sex and stuff like Tinder.

And the guy spends about 1700-2000 Euros so I did say it shows he is serious about marriage too.

And I even thought about using it but since I didn't have a bank account account back then so I abandoned the idea 😅. Don't judge me I like it better than online dating and drama. How should I say, to each their own I suppose.

I am actually quite amazed that you didn't know about it.

It's a lot better way to find your love and spouse compared to the Tinder and such abysmal fling apps. They are not serving there purpose as these mail order brides agencies.
Some can be scammers too. But they won't scam girls. Just guys 😅, so becareful before you list with one. I think this Roses brides is not scam but since I haven't used it don't take my word for it.

I live in a very rural area of an extremely small town, where I can't seem to meet anyone, so I decided to try a few out and see if it suited me, though I'd really rather meet someone organically.

The one I'm currently on is Eharmony, which I heard was good and more about relationships than hookups. So far, the pros: I've had a decent number of guys express some interest, and most of them claim to be looking for a real relationship.

Cons: Unless you pay for Premium which I'm not sure I want to do, there's basically nothing you can do. You can only view one message from each person, and only send one yourself. You can't view photos. 90% of the guys shown to me don't have photos or even completed profiles. The compatibility system feels more suited to platonic relationships, to me anyway. I have trouble feeling attracted to guys I have too much in common with.

Not that impressed, altogether. But I don't really have any other options.

I've been off and on, using dating apps, over the years. Usually I leave out of boredom because the women just don't appeal to me, regardless if I had swipes from women (and real women, not scammers either, lol thanks) or no swipes. Currently I'm not on an app, maybe I'll look again later today or tomorrow just to see what 2023 has.

However, in the past, I used to use all of them. I was looking for love so badly before I snapped to my sense.

Yes I am but it's not going well. The most success I've had is 2 different women one I talked to for a month before she ghosted me. The other we spoke for a week and she said she wanted to meet someone closer to home and was nice and honest with ending our talking.

The rest is a mess of seeing profiles of people that are honestly either disturbing or terrifying. Attempted scams, people who wanted something else. Or those that sent a smile or hi or something and then never replied. Basically online dating sucks.

I dated 20 women in 4 months in 2021 - mostly via "Facebook dating" (not a standalone app, but only on mobile, as part of the fb app). One on POV, a couple on Bumble

Had 50 dates in all, slept with 8 of them, so a good 40%

Yes, that’s how I met her. I wasn’t on the site for long. I had a coffee date with one woman who turned out to be nice enough but not compatible. Then I met my girlfriend and the rest was history. We connected instantly and the mutual attraction was (still is) powerful.

Guys who are 9's and 10's, carpet bomb the sites with copy and paste replies. So women who are 4's and 5's, now believe they are 9's and 10's. So when guys who are on the same scale as the women who are 4's and 5's, the women won't give them the time of day. If you research this you'll find this is true. I've read lots of guys on this and other sites that say they've given up on dating sites for that reason.
This is especially true on hookup sites.

The creep was very bad. He was eye fucking me the entire date and then hinted he was a cheater. I ghosted him after the date but at least he was kind enough to message me a couple of days later, apologise and wish me the best.

I met my ex after that. He wasn’t such a terrible boyfriend. Actually probably the best boyfriend I’ve had. But he wasn’t for me and we weren’t compatible. He was a little more traditional than me, and his family get involved a lot in his life. I like to keep my family out of my personal life. He wanted to get married within the next year, I like to approach marriage a little more slowly.
