TD;LR: Guy thinks extremely expensive cards are more important than dates and vacations.
Full explanation: Guy collects graded MtG cards. Lets say he has two PSA graded and a Beckett graded Black lotus card. And he is currently saving up for a fourth one with the intention of getting it graded by CGC. So he is saving up and don't really spend money he does not have to.

Girls like a little bit of all those things in good measures. They want to be considered personably valued. That requires thinking, feeling, and doing at some level that meets the “He Attempted” standard.
