Yes obviously men NEED to be respected and so do women. But men also NEED to be loved in a relationship that’s well serious.

Sure it might take time to fall in love. But my gosh. How ignorant can someone be?

The problem here is that respect is more like a conscious, volountary way to behave towards someone, but love isn't. You can't force someone to love you just because you need it, if they fell out of love you can't really get it back by protesting, or by thinking it's "owed" to you, it will never work that way. Rather, you should navigate the relationship issues in your relationship, understanding why your partner changed, what put her off during the time, what made her stop caring, and then understanding together what is doable about that from the current status.
You may tell her you feel unloved recently and that you can't understand what made her commitment decrease, her care and all, and that you want to address this disconnection in your relationship, discovering what is not working behind the scenes. Hoping your partner is honest and takes charge of the problem, she will tell, or suggest you, what happened and what fueled that. Once you collect the needs of both you may start reasoning about what to do. But be careful: the moment you do it with indirect accusations, or she does towards you, you'll end up in a fight. You have to face it with maturity and rationality.
Without this step, she won't randomly restart loving you out of nowhere or because she "has to", it won't work like that. At most she can decide to respect you...
