Do guys rlly like goth girls irl?

I've had quite a few relationships, however they've mostly been women. I get a lot of praise online, especially from men, for how I look but I'm not sure if guys find me attractive or intimidating irl. A lot of the time it feels like guys date me because I'm fun and different for a while but at some point I do want someone to actually like me for me. Do I just not attract those kinds of guys because those kinds of guys aren't attracted to goth women?

In answer to your title question, yes, some do. But I also think some don't. Or, more precisely, I think that a lot of guys see the goth exterior and choose not to take the time to get to know that girl for who she is. That's not a judgement just a statement about humanity -- we care about looks and I'm convinced that a lot of people don't take the time to get past the exterior.

What does confuse me with what you wrote is that "guys date me because I'm fun and different for a while"... that sounds like some spend some time with you and they have an opportunity to get to know you. So maybe it's not just a looks thing?

yeah... exes, my friends have been into the "goth style" all of their lives (they're 30's now) so, sure they style can be attractive, and I find them attractive but it is also true that the reasons why I liked them and love them is not precisely just because they are "goth"

it is because they're so much more too, they're interesting, they're smart, they're funny and a few things more (attractive as well)

also true that if they were "goth" but none of these other things, then I would not have liked them just because their particular style... lol

What is the goth tradition? To me being goth is just clothes and music, nothing more. I'm not saying I'll dress like I do now forever or when I'm a mom, but it will always be my preferred style and when I'm older I'll keep some elements of it.

Dark is not evil trope? you think that is so easy to intimidate a man? though it true that looking for bad boys is mainly a girl thing and not a guy thing, it mainly because guys tend to suspect that a bad girl is a ho. Personally I think that goths are pretty interesting. :)

For me a woman's aesthetic is not something that concerns me when I come to like a person. What's most important in my eyes is their personality and who they are as a person. If you're a good person I will like you regardless of whether you are goth, or fall into any other aesthetic

I really like the scene girl/goth/emo fluffy hair, moreso than any other style, but the rest of the goth aesthetic I'm not really into.

It's not intimidating, it's just not inviting. I prefer bubbly, silly, overly happy types.
