So I have a really big crush on this guy I used to work with. I’m hoping he comes around so fingers crossed. Anyways he was close to my age, looks were really nice and we had the same interests. I asked him for drinks but he told me at the time he was talking to someone. Since then I have seen him on dating apps at least once a month. I’m thinking about adding him on Facebook but afraid would would be said about me over there and if he declines it or doesn’t add me back. I’m hopeful he will come around but I know I can’t wait forever. I don't know what to do though as every time I do see him on social media my heart flutters.

They find the person emotionally/physically/mentally attractive. Usually you daydream about them too. Having a crush doesn't necessarily mean you want to date them, though. I've had plenty of crushes who I didn't want to date, usually because I wasn't interested in a relationship at the time.

Interesting question. For me a crush means I think think sex would be very rewarding with her and I want to, but in the social circumstances maybe I won't do anything about it. I possibly see personality problems above my intense respect for her body. But I think about it a lot.

Then there is like and LIKE. LIKE is probably stronger than crush to me and an attraction for her personality as well as her body. I probably will do something about it.

With like I am always pleased to run across her and exchange a few words pleasantly.

There is a girl I do like and I would be inclined to swoop in if I didn't think she was too young.

Personally I think it's more than just finding someone attractive. Most women think I'm attractive but still want nothing to do with me.
I think a crush is when you start to fantasize about someone a lot and you can't get them out of your mind. Every time you see them, your world stops and all you wanna do is go up and kiss them, but you're too afraid so you stay back and admire from a distance and dream of being with them.
