You can’t, because shyness doesn’t equate to being inexperienced. Even confident, bolder men can be in that boat, so to me there aren’t signs. If you notice he seems nervous about making certain moves, then it’s your job to help him ease up. Tell him this or that is ok, make a move first, share what you want him to do. Guide him.
