How to know if an inexperienced guy actually likes you, or just wants to get with any girl?

I like an inexperienced guy who is 22. He is more outgoing and confident than me, but seems really afraid of rejection. I am getting the vibe that he likes me. He has shown some signs of interest like being really shy and awkward around me, being extremely polite, helping me with stuff, starting conversation all the time, staring from across the room, smililng when I smile, staring and looking away quickly when I catch him, etc. He is a nice guy, but I'm afraid he only likes me because he views me as a female he can get with.

I am a few years younger than him. I'm really shy and completely inexperienced with relationships. I come across as really innocent, and I am. I really like this guy. I don't care if he is inexperienced or doesn't have perfect model looks. He has a cool personality. But I've had trouble opening up to him because I'm so shy. How can I tell he isn't just looking for a gf because he is desperate and feels he should have one by his age?

Stupid question. Does he really like me? Or is it just his subconscious desire to procreate. I thought that's what love is? Haha.

Go out on a date with him. Find out if he likes you. You can ask him why at some point.

It sounds like he likes you and is too shy to approach you directly. If you like him back tell him, otherwise you'll regret it.
