Why can't an average girl date a good looking guy?

It's for the same reasons that someone making an average salary can't live in a multi-million dollar mansion or drive a million dollar hypercar. That person can't provide the market value to get what they want.

Mansions and high-end cars and other high-value things are desired by FAR more people than just the ones who can afford to pay the asking price - that's why the price is higher.

Those good-looking guys have a higher market value and have far more people who want them than the amount of such guys there are to go around. Now, you might find a good looking guy who will date you, but chances are he has characteristics that the women who are otherwise on his level find unacceptable. Maybe he's a cheater. Maybe he's broke and wants to live off your income. Maybe he's a criminal. Something is lowering his market value.

If you are an average person - just like most people - why can't you be happy with another average person? Have you ever considered that a good looking guy is going to have women throwing themselves at him constantly, and that most of them cheat as a result? Do you really think you'd be happy having to worry what he was doing anytime he wasn't home?

There are advantages and disadvantages to everything, but too many people never even consider the downsides of what they want. Image what an idiot I would be if I bought a Lamborghini that I could barely afford the payments on, and my job depended on having a reliable car - and then, as high-end sports cars always do, it needed an expensive repair. That could easily result in me losing my job, quickly followed by my car and home, all because I tried to have something I could not afford. If I only thought about the dream, and never the reality, I could easily find myself in that situation.

That said, do you know what men - especially high market value men - really want in a woman? Most women don't seem to know these days, because when asked, few women give the right answers. If you don't even know what something costs, you probably have little chance of getting it.

Because good girls might like bad boys, all men expect their women to above 8 in terms of rating system based on looks. Figures. They say they would date anybody but spoiler alert, they want her cute or hot and get mad if their male counterparts think the same thing about their girlfriends because territory issues or some shit.

It’s a whole hell of a lot easier for a semi average (a 7 or 8) looking girl to date a 9-10 guy if she has a good personality than vice versa. A semi good looking guy not only needs to have a good personality but he has to be prominent to date a 9-10 girl.

He has to one or a combo of the following: wealth, fame to a certain extent, high social worth, social intelligence, a sense of humor, an extreme (and well known) talent, good with women, etc.

I would really quit your complaining. If you are a 7 you can probably pull 8 or 9 guys. However you have to put some effort and risk into and that’s something most women hate doing.

There are always exceptions, but most people are going to wind up with someone who is at least near their own level of attractiveness. Keep in mind though - there were some studies done on online dating behaviors and what women may think of as an average looking guy is typically much better looking than average, while men had a pretty realistic view of what an average looking woman was. Google "okcupid 80% of men below average" if you want an example of this. So it's possible that an average girl thinks she is dating an average guy, but he may well be above average due to this effect.

Looks give leverage. Like I'd say I'm not smoking hot or anything, maybe a 6-7, but it gives me leverage to make more demands for my relationships, and have more choices before I get into them.

The same is true for women as well, but why would I ever get with someone who I feel superior or unattracted to?

because most guys are idiots and only want the "pretty" girls, even if they have toxic personalities, looks are all that matter to them.
Myself, looks were not that important, it was what was inside the person, her personality that mattered most.
I would rather be with someone I actually liked, and she treated me well vs someone who looked nice on the outside but was just a pain in the butt to be with.

Like someone mentioned earlier on. When a good looking male is young they only think about that sexy stunner. Especially to brag to their friends. But as time goes on he will realise looks aren’t everything. Yes he may not go for an average woman but less good looking than he did when he was younger. To last in a long term relationship you need compatibility, similar hobbies and goals and just vibe in general.

they can, but guys are more visual so younger guys are probably more interested in going for the more attractive girls, as he gets older her personality will play a bigger part once he is actually looking to start settling down. If is is just out there looking to have fun.. then why not have fun with someone that is more attractive?

She can, but she might end up disappointed. Of course there are exceptions, but those considered exceptionally attractive often tend to have relied upon their looks and have thus failed to develop any depth of character. I learned this awhile back, and it is why I gravitate towards the "girl-next-door" average girl type. I'd rather spend time with someone interesting than just look at someone pretty.

According to me maybe it's because of lack of confidence.
If a girl already considers herself average and the guy good looking then she doesn't see them on the same scale and that makes it difficult to approach them or be relaxed and natural in front of them.
