But, a good way to know, and while I don't condone it, would be to ask to see his phone the next time he's texting while you're together. If he's not willing to show you, he MIGHT be talking to another girl. Again, I don't condone this, but, it's generally a good way.

No universal answer to this. Some could be change of behavior, and loss of interest in things he used to do with you. But even that don't nesseserly mean he's texting others. That can mean other things also.
