You likely saw an uptick of matches during quarantine because that was everyone's only option to 'date' since most of the world was shut down. So, don't take it as a bad sign you are getting less matches now. It is likely because people are out meeting people the normal way.

I have never used online dating, but I have had some friends that used it in the past. There was not a single good story that came out of their experience. I do not suggest using online dating for starters.

What I always recommend to users asking about how to meet girls is to look around in your local area for clubs or activity groups that interest you. Get involved in something like that where you can meet people that share a similar interest. It is much easier to break the ice when you share a similar interest with someone.

I have had a friend meet someone this way where I live. Now, I do live in a huge city, but I imagine there are things like this wherever you go. Best of luck to you.
