Why do people generally say you won't meet someone decent at a bar or club?

I suppose you have the kind that go all the time, regardless if they have a significant other or not, but i'm a decent guy, what if I go? lol There are shitty people all over and I think you just have to learn how to spot them ahead of time before things get too far along

My boyfriend is a decent guy and he used to go to the bar a lot so I agree with you. There can be decent people to meet at bars/clubs but it's usually few and far. A lot of guys are after one thing and one thing only and same for a lot of women nowadays.

The older you get the more pathetic it is to look for marriage in a bar. After about 30 all you're going to find in a bar is trouble, easy sex and people who are past their prime. Other than a fling I had in a bar in Puerto Rico a while back, I've dated nothing but students for about the past 4 or 5 years. It's been a (mostly) a dream.
